LIVE VIDEO -- sen. leahy v. gonzales tomorrow 9:30 a.m. e.d.t.

i am severely jet-lagging, and may
not make it up to watch any of this, but
it will be live on c-span3. . .

a better, more direct link will be the
realmedia live video feed from the senate
judiciary committee itself -- it should go
live a few minutes after 9:30 a.m. e.d.t.:

while i am awake, let me also mention that
the house judiciary committee -- chaired
by rep. john conyers -- will
begin deliberations on contempt
for harriet miers and joshua
bolten at 10:15 a.m. e.d.t.
on wednesday
-- and THAT live
video feed will be in real
media streaming format from
the house [but likely on
cspan3], as well. . . here
is the house judiciary
real video feed -- due
to be live around 10:20
a.m. e.d.t. on wednesday:

we, the people, get the government -- or
lack thereof -- we deserve. we must stop
being complacent, and therefore complicit.

it is time to demand that one or more
special prosecutors be promptly appointed
by each congressional committee, if need be.
that is, if the DoJ does, in fact, honor
president's bush's friday edict/lex regis/
assertion that no contempt citations from
the house or senate will be enforced by the
department of justice. perhaps senator leahy
will force alberto gonzales onto the record,
tomorrow, under oath, about whether he believes
that single presidential edict trumps almost 120
uninterrupted years of prior legislative precedent,
[watergate plainly included], on that score, here. . .

yeah. maybe he should ask 'berto 'bout that.

g'night/g'morning. . .
